Job Outlook

The demand for new and qualified healthcare staff in all areas continues to grow so the need for recruiters also increases. The United States Department of Labor predicts that the demand for healthcare recruiters will increase faster than the rate for recruiters in other areas of specialization. The increasing demand on the healthcare industry has lead to more facilities being built that require staff and training and healthcare recruiters are needed to help bring in staff to the facilities. This increase in job potential is expected to continue at least until the year 2014.

Career Track

Healthcare recruiters with a Bachelors degree or a Masters degree can easily move into mid or upper management positions in human resources, staff development and training or other related departments.

Many healthcare recruiters with specific experience may also move into management of other departments, even clinical departments if they have the required qualifications. Some healthcare recruiters move into their own businesses working under contract to different hospitals or healthcare facilities to provide recruiting services.

A healthcare recruiter with a Bachelors level education can earn between $40,000 and $50,000 per year, usually depending on the size of the facility and the specific requirements of the job.
